Recruitment of New Chair of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire LEP is now underway

Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire is at the centre of theUKeconomy, delivering jobs and economic growth through an innovative approach to attracting and supporting business investment in the area.

We have established a strong and dynamic partnership spanning business, education and the public sector to set an ambitious approach to local growth.

The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership has achieved major success attracting global business, including the 383,000 sq ft award winning, energy efficient Blue Planet distribution centre in north Staffordshire that has been leased by JCB and the £500 million investment by JLR in a new advanced engine manufacturing facility at i54 South Staffordshire (220 acres of prime build-ready land at the heart of the UK transport network). We were ranked third by the Financial Times in 2012 for our approach to attracting inward investment and are piloting an innovative approach to skills development for the UK Government.

Yet we know that there’s opportunity to go even further. To deliver our ambitious agenda for job creation and economic growth we are seeking to appoint a Chair of national standing. We are looking for high calibre leadership to help us realise our ambitions. As an ambassador for the area you will shape the debate on economic growth and deliver prosperity for the local area.

This is a high profile role. You must be highly credible in the eyes of business leaders, councillors and government.

Further information and the application process is set out in this brief.
