Skills Advisory Panel Board & Local Skills Report

The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire SAP has created a Local Skills Report, with support from the Department of Education.

The aim of the Local Skills Report is to influence local partners to match the provision offer against employer skills demand and to feed intelligence to central government, including the national-level Skills and Productivity Board.

This report is underpinned by a set of core indicators Annex A – Core Indicators – January 2022  – a selection of skills-related indicators provided by the SAP Programme Team, with supporting local analysis and intelligence.

The LEP’s Future Workforce Group has now merged with the SAP as the scope, remit and membership of the groups are complimentary. The SAP board will pick up the FWG work programme and will benefit from the increased representation of the private business sector to contribute to demand-led skills provision.
