Local Industrial Strategy Workshop: Stoke-on-Trent

Partners in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire are preparing a local industrial strategy. This work is being led by the Local Enterprise Partnership (SSLEP).

The purpose of the Local Industrial Strategy is to set priorities for future investment in business support, innovation, infrastructure and skills. It is designed to guide how public money is used locally to support companies like yours to grow and develop your business, which, in turn, will benefit the economy of the area.

The Strategy will set out how we intend to invest our resources to make this happen. We need your help. It’s really important that priorities are set which reflect what businesses actually need. And it’s really important that businesses get involved to help make sure that Government knows about the opportunities there are here and why Stoke and Staffordshire is worth investing in.

To help us understand the opportunities and challenges facing your business, we are holding a series of workshops this October with companies like yours.

Given your importance as a local employer, we would like to invite you to a workshop on 16th October. Our aim is to invite other similar employers in the manufacturing sector to understand the common opportunities and how SSLEP might help yours and other companies to grow and innovate.

The session will run from 2pm to 4pm and will be held at:
Michelin Tyre PLC
Campbell Road
Stoke-on-Trent
ST4 4EY

We will serve coffee and provide an opportunity for networking.

The session itself will be facilitated by Metro Dynamics, experts in developing strategies for places. They will provide a short summary of the key economic and business trends in the area and then facilitate discussion with you and other local firms about the opportunities for growth and what support would best help you to achieve your potential.

We hope that you are able to attend this important meeting. To reserve your place, please RSVP to: samantha.hicks@staffordshire.gov.uk
