Backing for businesses affected by pandemic

SMEs adversely affected by the COVID-19 crisis may be eligible to apply for a coronavirus business support grant of up to £3,000.

The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub has launched two funds, from a total pot of £872,000.

SMEs whose trade is 100% business to business can apply to the SME Restart Programme and SMEs located in a tourist area and dependent on visitors can apply to the Kickstarting Tourism Programme – both are subject to eligibility.

You can apply to the SME Restart Programme if:

  • Your trade is 100% business to business
  • Your SME is based in Stoke or Staffordshire

You can’t apply to the fund if:

  • You are a retail business
  • You are a B2C business
  • You are a food and drink business
  • You have been trading for less than 12 months

You can apply to the Kickstarting Tourism Programme if:

  • Your SME is based in Stoke or Staffordshire
  • Your business relies on income from tourists
  • You run a small attraction
  • You supply visitor accommodation
