BBfA

The government has set a priority of reducing the regulatory burden on business. So to help businesses to grow the Better Business for All (BBfA) project aims to support businesses primarily by making business regulations easier to access and understand.

Meeting regulations is not as difficult as is often believed. Local regulators across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, are committed to supporting businesses by providing advice and guidance that helps them understand and meet their responsibilities.

Regulatory services are those public sector organisations that carry out inspections, visits, and investigations to check that businesses are compliant with the law. They also provide advice and guidance to businesses on how to achieve compliance.

Better Business for All includes; Food Safety, Health & Safety, Environmental Protection, Waste, Licensing, Fire Safety, Trading Standards, Taxation, Employment Law, Business Continuity, Planning, Environmental Health, and Trading Standards.

Incoming feedback consistently informs us that the time, cost, volume and complexity of regulation inhibits firms from recruiting, expanding and investing. This backdrop comes at a time in which business is also expected to drive the economic recovery.
