EUROPEAN AGRICULTURAL FUND
FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT (EAFRD)

European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) is aimed at improving competitiveness in the agriculture and forestry sector, safeguarding and enhancing the rural environment and fostering competitive and sustainable rural businesses and thriving rural communities. EAFRD funding is accessed via a range of national themed bidding calls organised by DEFRA and advertised on the www.gov.uk website.

The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire LEP is a key focus for each call, promoting EAFRD bidding opportunities through events and workshops and advising potential applicants on the local strategic fit of proposals.
