How will we do it?
Our working timetable is set out in three phases.
Phase 1 takes place between April and June 2019.
It will involve developing an economic and sectoral evidence base for our Local Industrial Strategy. We will also carry out initial engagement with businesses and stakeholders so that we can understand local challenges.
Phase 2 takes place between July and August 2019.
During this phase we will be holding a series of business engagement workshops to feedback the findings of our evidence base and understand the potential initiatives to boost growth and productivity. We will also be compiling sector profiles so that we can map out key productivity growth opportunities in our area.
Phase 3 takes place between September 2019 and spring 2020.
We will be drafting the strategy, using feedback from our stakeholders, and working with Government to communicate strategic priorities and make the case for change. We will then finalise the strategy before its publication in spring 2020.
